Showcase Features: This public garden is beautifully designed with thriving plants, with the bonus of signage that provides helpful information on different techniques of water-wise gardening. It showcases several kinds of permeable hardscape features; notably an excellent example of a large dry creek river rock bed. Decomposed granite paths wind through mature native plantings of deer grass, manzanita, Oregon grape, native sages and California bush anemone. Additional color comes from PCH iris and monkeyflower. Benches provide spots to to watch the hummingbirds, bees and butterflies that visit the garden.
Other Garden Attractions: The dry creek bed is designed to collect rain water and let it percolate into the ground. The photos show it holding water temporarily after a storm.
